Applications of SIP
The workshop "Applications of Semi-Infinite Optimization (SIP)" will take place on May 20 and 21, 2021 at the ITWM, Kaiserslautern, Germany. The conference "Mechanistic Machine Learning and Digital Twins for Computational Science, Engineering & Technology (MMLDT-CSET 2021)" will take place from September 26 to 29, 2021 in San Diego, CA, USA. LHMNC 2021

MECC 2021

BMBF call for proposals "Computational Life Sciences"
The BMBF call for proposals "Computational Life Sciences" is still open until May 27, 2021. Focus of the call is on "AI methods for infection research". It is not limited to viral pathogens. Computer simulations are patentable in principle
The European Patent Office (EPO) recently decided that even pure computer simulations can develop a "technical effect" and thus are patentable in principle. To this end, they would have to advance the state of the art and ensure an inventive step.
